The Dow Event Center was a municipal project encompassing multiple construction components of over 100,000sf. The signature piece of the project was the new atrium specifically designed to create a new sense of entry for the event center which serves as home to three venues: Wendler Arena, Heritage Theater, and Unity Hall.
Specific to construction the event center included the complete renovation of all existing electrical and mechanical systems; the installation of an entirely new full-service kitchen and event hall room; a new locker facility for the Saginaw Spirit OHL Team; construction of corporate offices and maintenance storage rooms; block, brick exterior with built-up roofing; as well as exterior site work including asphalt paving and site electrical.
